Club Captain - Terry Lyons

On behalf of the members of Haverhill Golf Club, it is my pleasure to offer you a warm welcome, via our website, to this fine club and wonderful golf course. We are all very proud of our club and its status as having among the best greens in East Anglia, while still offering a fair, enjoyable test for all abilities of golfer. It is a course that remains in superb condition all year round due to the tireless efforts of our green staff.

It is a huge honour and privilege to be Captain for 2024. This is friendly, welcoming club and I hope you enjoy your golf and our welcoming staff in the Professional shop and clubhouse.

I trust that the website is able to provide you with the information you need, however, if more information is required, please do not hesitate to contact our office staff who will be only too happy to help.

Visitors, societies and private functions are always welcome at Haverhill. We trust that the course and the warm welcome you will receive from members and staff alike will provide you with a memorable and truly enjoyable golfing experience, and also, one that you will be keen to repeat.

Lady Captain - Lynne Hart

The Lady Captain and the Ladies Committee welcome new Ladies of any ability to Haverhill Golf Club.

We are a small Ladies section with a big appetite for golf at all levels as we enjoy both social and competitive games. Our Lady membership of approximately 60 players, play club competitions on most Wednesdays & Saturdays and many enjoy the social element of Mixed Senior competitions on Mondays.

We have a team in the County Weston league, and we enter teams into County Knockout competitions - Stearn, Cranworth & Senior Jubilee Shield. We also encourage and promote member entries into National competitions such as The Ping, Coronation Foursomes, Aussie Spoons, Daily Mail Foursomes and the Annodata. Many of our ladies have enjoyed their involvement in these with a few going on to experience the final stages, including one pairing competing in the Coronation finals at St Andrews, and another pairing bringing home the Aussie Spoons.

Apart from social and fun golf at the club, on non-competition days we enjoy regular friendly matches with local clubs both home and away, We also have an annual overnight Away Day where many of the Ladies enjoy a couple of days of fun golf and socialising at a club that facilitate overnight group bookings.

Haverhill has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and many of our members have made great friendships through playing golf so we would welcome you to join us at our wonderful course.

Senior's Captain - Andy Tabrar

The Seniors section of Haverhill Golf Club is a very active and diverse part of a golf club that values all its members.
Competitions that are available to Seniors include:

Monday League
This is a mixed competition ran yearlong on Monday mornings, the league being played for on most Mondays but interspersed with cup and trophy competitions throughout the year.

Bits
A fantastic competition ran on Friday mornings (midweek playing available) with a multitude of prizes for different aspects of golf, 5 x leagues, team scores, individual scores, eclectic, twos and the bits themselves.

Summer knockout competition
Played yearly with a guaranteed Lady v Gent final.

Seniors Awayday
An away day open to all seniors, an opportunity to visit another golf course en-masse.

Friendly matches
Fixtures versus other likeminded clubs running from March to October.

Mixed matches
Fixtures versus other likeminded clubs.

There is something for all seniors within this section of the club.
